If you’d like to submit a comic strip for display this season, as of the time of this post there are still spaces available so send your comic in! You can get all the specific rules in this post.

Regular Deadlys updates will return on January 2, 2012. After guest comics are displayed the site will remain on hiatus until then.

Comic Blender Begins Beta Launch

We’ve been working for a few months on this latest project and now it’s time to pull back the curtain and share what we have in store.

We proudly present Comic Blender! A website that will be a showcase for a variety of comic strips from the studio. It will work kind of like a comic “grab bag” where the front page will feature different series in a random rotation. Don’t like the current storyline? No problem, just wait a week or so and come back to see what the next thing is.

The site is currently not updating regularly since it’s in a beta launch phase. We expect to be up and running at full steam by the end of the year at the latest. Feel free to hop over and check things out now at www.comicblender.com.

Elizabeth Deadly Figurines

I’ve been working on a project for months now that I want to try and see if I can make it come true by the end of the year.

I would like to create (or rather, have created) a 7″ tall Elizabeth Deadly figurine. Not a clay, easy bake oven statue but an actual, professionally produced figurine that you can set up on your desk or bookshelf. In order to make this happen and make them affordable to all of you, I have to raise funds up front to pay for their production.

So, today I have launched a Kickstarter fundraising project to see if we can make it happen. The way Kickstarter works is that I set a goal and if you like the project you “pledge” a certain amount of money towards it. If we meet our funding goal before the cut off date, you’re charged the money and I get to start working on the figures. If we don’t, no one is charged a dime and we move on.

In order to make this happen, we have to reach $5000 before July 5th, 2011 (that’s approx. 30 days from today). We can go over that goal to fund more figurines but we have to at least meet that mark. So, if you’re on board, don’t delay and head over to the Kickstarter page now to pledge your support. I’m offering some rewards for various pledge levels with one ultimate reward that I think you’ll find most appealing (no, not lunch with me).
