After 30 Years, He's Back! Read The Adventures of Atomic Belch Man™!

About

1996

After years of working on various one-shot projects under “fake” labels, Chris finally establishes a permanent one and uses it for all projects for his home studio.

2001

One of the pioneers in the field of online comics, or what were known as “webcomics”, Chris set out to make his mark with his first regularly published series The Asylumantics™.

Featuring a bizarre and often macabre cast of characters, it saw the studio launched into the spotlight as readers welcomed the patients of Wrenwood Heights into their daily lives. The non-sequitur style humor fit right in with the style of many emerging webcomics at the time. Readers were hungry for more edgy experiences than the newspapers offered and he was happy to provide.

2004

The modest success of this first series lead to other titles including a series based loosely on Chris’ years as a video store clerk.

Please Rewind™, featuring the pop culture adventures of a trio of nerdish friends, went on to be even more of a success launching a series of published books and other various merchandise. This included crossovers with other series and even a cover in a nationally published webcomic magazine.

2010

After PR’s conclusion, Chris decided to revisit an old idea he had about a family of monsters. As a fan of classics in the genre such as “The Addams Family” and “The Munsters”, he decided to take his stab at the idea and in the late summer of 2010 The Deadlys™ began publication.

In what is still arguably one of his most successful titles, the spooky family hit it big with readers who fell in love with Jack, Elizabeth, Morgan, Viktor and their friends. The series enjoyed a very positive run of support for 10 years, not only online, but with a large selection of licensed merchandise and books including a Deadlys board game! It would even go on to spawn a few side stories in the same universe. While none reached the heights of the main series, it was clear that they did, and continue to, speak to a lot of fans.

2020

After decades of experience in more traditional comic strip productions, Chris sought to expand his skills and horizons. In 2020 during the massive lockdowns, he found himself with nothing to do for nearly a year but draw and that’s exactly what he did.

Up until this point, the majority of his work had been mostly of a PG rating and in a newspaper style 1×4 format. Having been a fan of manga / anime since the late 80’s, he turned his focus to creating his own “manga-styled” adventure. Pulling out all the stops, he held nothing back and pushed the series in every way imaginable.

At the end of the lockdowns, what he had was 168 pages of mature, blood and guts, cheesecake adventure he called Necroblivion™. A series about an uncanny duo who seemed to get into trouble more often than most and weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty if it meant scoring a big treasure in the process.

2025

This year saw the return of one of Chris’ earliest creations – Atomic Belch Man™.

This psychotic hero, born in a student’s notebook in the 90s, was revived after over 30 years in the studio vault. The new series was based loosely on the original 12 issue comic series which was also restored and made available in the store as a piece of collectable nostalgia for fans of the character.
